Tarta cu mere rustica (Rustic apple tart)

 Cum timpul e cel mai mare inamic al meu in ultima vreme :), si cum aveam niste mere ce se stricau pe balcon (pacat de ele ca sunt de la tara), m-am gandit sa fac o tarta. Cind ma uit in frigider, nici urma de lapte pentru crema. Nu-i nimic, mi-am zis eu. Merge si fara. Si n-am gresit!


Ingrediente:

Crusta
  • 250 g faina
  • 150g unt de la frigider
  • 2 linguri cu zahar
  • 1 ou
  • 2 linguri de lapte rece
Umplutura:
  • 800 g mere
  • 10 g unt
  • 50 g zahar tos
  • sucul de la 1/2 lamaie
  • sucul de la 1/2 portocala

Mod de preparare:
  •  Pentru crusta taie untul in bucati mici si amesteca-l cu faina, pana se obtine un amestec nisipos. Adauga zaharul si oul si mai amesteca putin. Pune si laptele si amesteca pana ce toate sunt incorporate, nu mai mult. Acopera coca cu folie de plastic si pune-o in frigider 1 ora.
  • Curata merele de coaja si de seminte. Taie-le in felii nu foarte subtiri. Stropeste-le cu sucul de lamaie (ca sa nu se innegreasca) si amesteca-le bine cu zaharul.

  • Incalzeste untul si pune merele cu tot sucul pe care l-au lasat. Lasa la foc mic, pana ce merele s-au inmuiat si caramelizat. Pune sucul de portocala si mai lasa 1-2 minute.  

  •  Intinde coca in foaie nu foarte subtire, rotunda. Toarna in centru merele caramelizate si sosul din tigaie. Ridica marginile de la coca, pentru ca sucul sa nu se verse.
  • Coace tarta in cuptorul incalzit, la 180 C, pentru 35- 40 minute.

Time is my greatest enemy  lately. And as I had some apples that were rotting in the balcony, I thought to make a tart. When I look in the fridge, NO milk for cream. That's okay, I said. I will make the tart without cream. And I was so right!
Ingredients:
Crust
  •     250 g flour
  •     150g butter from refrigerator
  •     2 tablespoons sugar
  •     1 egg
  •     2 tablespoons cold milk
Filling:
  •     800 g apple, peeled and cored.
  •     10 g butter
  •     50 g granulated sugar
  •     juice of half lemon
  •     juice of 1 / 2 orange
Preparation:
  • For the crust: cut butter into small pieces and mix it with flour, until a sandy mixture is formed. Add sugar and egg. Mix a little. Put the milk and mix until all are incorporated, not more. Cover dough with plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  • Cut the apples into slices not too thin. Sprinkle them with lemon juice (to not darkened) and sugar.Toss to combine.
  • Melt butter and add the apples with the juice left. Cook on low heat until the apples are caramelized. Add the orange juice and leave 1-2 minutes.
  • Roll out the dough into a thin and round sheet. Pour caramelized apples and sauce in the center. Lift the edges of the dough, so the juice does not spill.
  • Bake the tart in heated oven, at 180 C for 35-40 minutes.
